Marugoto A2B1-1 Course with Teacher Support
This online course is designed for those who want to systematically learn Japanese for communication at the Japanese A2B1 level. It is the next level after the Marugoto A2-4 (Katsudou/Rikai) course. Registration and application for the course are done through the Japanese learning platform "JF Japanese e-Learning Minato."
In this course, you'll self-study Japanese using online materials, while regularly attending online group live lessons with Japanese instructors from the Budapest Japanese Cultural Centre. Your self-study will be conducted using the "Marugoto Japanese Online Course."

What are Live Lessons?
Online group lessons are held approximately once every two weeks. Each lesson is 60 minutes long. In this course, you will study a total of five topics. Name of Corse
*The first session of the course will be a Course Guidance.
**The final session will be an Oral Test. This test will be conducted one-on-one with the teacher, lasting approximately 15 minutes per student.
1. Eligibility
This course is specifically for learners in the following 13 Central and Eastern European countries, including Hungary. Participants from other countries cannot join.
Eligible Countries: Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Romania, Montenegro
2. Target Level
This course is for those who have completed A2-4 level (beginner) studies.
3. Application

4. Lottery System
Participants for this course will be selected by lottery. Lottery results will be announced on August 26th.
5. Course Fee: Free
While there is no course fee, the Japan Foundation will send a separate email to confirm your intention to participate. Your registration will be complete upon your reply to that email, so please be sure to respond.
This course is being offered experimentally for Central and Eastern Europe. Therefore, the course fee for the 2025 academic year is free. However, the course fees for the 2026 academic year and beyond are not yet determined. Please understand this as a trial for the first year only.
