OKEIKO 31
The hand movements of Nihonbuyo dancers are beautiful. For many of them this is true even when they are not dancing, in other words, in their daily lives; their small gestures – such as picking up things or tying ribbons – are pretty and delicate. In Nihonbuyo, the hands are used to depict various objects and scenes, so the dancer uses his or her nerves all the way to the fingertips. That is why their hands naturally become elegant even in their daily life.
